Issue/Goal:

Currently, the versions used in the /app-library page are pulled from the JSON files in the server/mdm/maintainedapps/testdata/ folder. The versions in the JSON files don't match the versions of the Fleet maintained apps in the Fleet UI, making the website feel out of date in comparison.

To resolve:

  • Decide how we want to get this information (e.g., send requests to a Fleet instance that has these apps added)
  • Update build-static-content to use that method to get the latest version of the apps.
