Hey there! Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot, so my apologies if I'm in the wrong place!
I was very surprised to find that OrcaSlicer does not have any option to set ironing pattern to monotonic. I only really looked into its ironing options recently after noticing some odd, persistent artifacts on ironed surfaces and had no idea just how crazy the default ironing pattern behaves when dealing with any obstacles it encounters along the way! On entirely smooth surfaces, results are fine enough, but in cases consisting of anything less than idyllically open pastures, the resulting ironing behavior/pathing leaves the surface in a state of disarray from which one may even track the printer's attempts to stop at, leave from, and return to various areas just by glancing at the finished print.
I know I've been spoiled by Cura's crazy number of options/settings when working with my Enders, but it's impossible to not see the insanely gorgeous top-surfaces I got with Cura's ironing and not want the same for my A1, using OrcaSlicer! I should hope that additional patterns are some of the more easily implementable of the infinite possible additions one might consider for a slicer but I know that in my experience, this pattern has made all the difference in the world when it comes to achieving those picture-perfect ironed surfaces!
Thanks for reading!
